How to Install an AI Keyboard on Android

Installing the app is the first step. Android will not switch to Mojikey until you enable it as a keyboard.

Install the app

  1. On an Android phone, open Mojikey on Google Play, or download the APK from the Mojikey site if you use that channel.
  2. Install the app. Mojikey is completely free.
  3. Open Mojikey once so onboarding can run. You can type later without an account; AI actions need sign-in.

Then enable it

Android treats a keyboard as a system input method. After install, follow how to enable an AI keyboard: Languages & input → on-screen keyboards → turn on Mojikey → accept the system warning → select it in a text field.

To switch back and forth with Gboard, see how to change the keyboard on Android.

What install does not do

It does not replace Gboard by itself. It does not send keystrokes to a model until you tap Reply for, Super talk, or Hello.
